Context of what @The Albatross? Put "it" into context? What is "it"? Pick up and move on to what and where and how? 360 million, do know that the wold had 6+ Billion. So you were fired at and moved on. No impact on you? This is a reasonable way to live? What were the circumstances of you having a gun in your face or being fired at? Circumstances change lives as much as decisions.

I have to drive into San Bernardino and it is the heart of gang land. I even saw a sign that said Enter San Bernardino at your own risk. My therapist and psychiatrist and dentist are in San Bernardino.

I usually avoid watching the news channels because it is so full of negative stories and things to scare people. Gavin De Becker the author of the Gift of Fear recommends this not watching the news.

But I heard about the shootings on Facebook and I pray for everyone involved and their families. It is better than worrying about it and spiraling down. It helps me to feel as I if I am doing my part to be a source of healing for the victims and their families, all of the police and the ambulance paranedics etc.

I used to watch the news a few years ago, and it is full of violence because it sells and makes good ratings.

I feel more anxiety having to drive on the freeway especially this time of year because so many people drive in crazy ways during the holidays plus so many drunk drivers.

I feel deeply when I hear of mass violence. It has become a part of living on the planet.

I wish you well in sorting through everything and hope that one day you will find peace within yourself but I think being upset about it is only human. I empathize with you.
