I have NO idea! And, for some reason, it hadn't occurred to me to ask him how that works. Now that you've mentioned it, I will.
My dreams are like yours. There's not much difference between how I experience "dream stuff" and how I experience the world when I'm awake. Sometimes I'll realize that I'm dreaming, but I'm not exactly sure how I know that. Usually it's a situation where I'm about to get hit by a train or something and I think "Wait! This is a dream and NOW would be a really good time to wake up." LOL
