When you say PTSD from daily events, do you mean as opposed to combat PTSD? The events that cause PTSD are catastrophic, I wouldn't call them daily events although sadly, they do happen every day around the world.

I would be hard pressed to answer your questions as presented. "Please explain in detail" could go on for several hundred pages, for one. Many of us have PTSD from multiple events or ongoing situations such as years of child abuse and/or being victims of domestic violence. Many have worked with a number of therapists and other helpers, so there is not necessarily a clear "before and after getting help" picture we can give. Whether it worked or not is subjective. What does working mean? Asking whether or not a treatment was helpful would get a different kind of response. A person with PTSD can never go back to how they were before. We have to measure success in different ways.

Can you post your email address? (Free ones are easy enough to come by.) I went to design school so I know a bit about the design process (inspiration, etc)......but non-design people don't tend to understand this process as well, and that, along with the untrustworthiness that comes along with PTSD, could be part of why you're getting a bit of opposition. I have no problems sharing my story with you personally but I rather be able to email you so it can be more of a conversation.

I hope your final project is successful. You may not know it but you have the power to make an incredible social commentary. A family friend is an artist and his 3D works are mind blowing. (Many are indeed social commentaries of sorts.)

Actually, I have struggled with PTSD after I got a car accident 4 years ago. I had flashback, bad dream, and agitation. (I did not visit a doctor's office to get diagnosed.)

So you do not have a diagnosis of PTSD?
Many people get a flashback (singular), bad dream ( singular) and agitation from a car accident. That does not make it PTSD.
I am sorry, but you have already been told in this thread that you do not have permission to use the material from here.

Are you not really in New York?

1. What event made you get PTSD? (Please explain it in detail)

Three years of childhood sexual abuse and emotional abuse.
2. Could you recognize the disorder yourself? And did you have any idea of the disorder before you got it?

I had no idea. I thought I was just depressed, but it turns out I wasn't. I thought you could only get PTSD from going to war.
3. Have you ever met psychology consultants / therapists to get diagnosed your symptoms?
(or to get treatments?)

Yes, I've been in patient multiple times and have met with a team of various psychologists, therapist and psychiatrists.
4. If yes, how was your experience? (Before & After)

It was okay. I was upset that I had to go in, but I learned that I enjoy schedules and that sort of thing. It's comforting.
5. What kind of treatment did you get? and how long?

I got some CBT, but it was mostly just mindfullness and that sort of thing (Google it). It was a week long, and now I see my therapist regularly.
6. Was the treatment worked for you?
Therapy doesn't really work for me, but I actually sort of enjoy being in patient. I feel safer there than anywhere else (you know, locked doors and reinforced schedules. People who care), but it's not really needed for me at this point.
