How Much Time Do You Spend Talking To Your Animals?

Oh my gosh, he really says "Mom"? I'd love to see a video of that! Not that I don't believe you, I do! I would just love to see it!

I talk to my dog often. She's the only one who listens and gives a shit.

I sing and dance with her, too. Every time "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" comes on iHeartRadio, she insists I hold her and sway back and forth. Ridiculous really.

It amazes me how much dogs can understand and communicate with their owners. An old friend of mine had the ugliest dog who could howl "I love you" back to her. I was jealous, but my dog tells me she loves me with her big sweet buggy eyes. Good enough for me. ;)

I talk to my chickens and they cluck back to me. Chops, a chicken, stands at the back door and yells, "Barooo!!!" in an incredibly loud voice until I come to the door. Bridget helps me weed, and chatters away to me while we do it. My dog Nugget says Arooo, when she is calling me, so I guess my animal name is something between the two. The neat thing with chickens is that they are quiet while you talk, then they talk, then you. It's like a conversation.

Angel, my pet Guinea Pig is very talkative. He makes squeaking noises a lot. Usually, whenever I come out of the kitchen into the living room, he gets all excited, thinking I am bringing him some veggies to eat. So I have to run back into the kitchen to get him something. I talk to him and thank him for reminding me that it is his mealtime. I also talk to him as I am giving him his new veggies and taking the old ones out of his cage too. Rotting veggies don't smell very good, so it is important to take them out of his cage, as soon as he is finished with them. I keep all his veggies in the fridge, so they stay fresh, but of course, once they have been in his cage for awhile, they wilt.

He loves celery. He will eat the base of it even. He eats it leaves and the stalks too, of course. However, he needs a lot of vitamin C, so I give him kale about twice a day. It has the highest content of that.
