I have some inspiring words from my future father-in-law. I called him a few weeks ago as I often do when I'm in a bad place. He's a psychologist and all around wonderful man who usually knows what to say. Something he said really struck a cord:
"Its good people who get PTSD. That's the tragedy of it. You have to have good in you before it can be damaged by another person. The pain you're feeling right now is a sign that that good is still alive inside of you. You haven't gone numb or dead inside. It may hurt like hell but that pain means you still have hope."
