Hashi, Thank you for your suggestion. I just started one book, and I will probably get the book you suggested also.
First, he would never physically hurt me. I am struggling with the mental side. However, I am finding, through chatting with others who suffer from PTSD, that I am also using the wrong words to explain myself when he and I talk.
My words are starting to become protective(defensive) of myself, therefore I could be at fault also. I say "could be" at fault, because if I change my words and he does not, then previous suggestions and post may be true that I should just leave him.
I do not know how to respond to his sometimes hurtful words. I am hoping and praying that reading the books suggested will help guide me through PTSD and in turn, guide me to use a better choice of words towards him also.
I can only do so much...He will have to do positive things also.
