I'm incredibly happy for you, Trauma :D
I simply stare at my pics sometimes, trying to see myself in them. I don't. I hate them. I've also rather ruthless destroyed most of them at different times of my life. lol Including not allowing them to be taken in the first place ;) (less the dodge & weave, or sudden duck, or twisted expression... Although those in a pinch... More the one place I found I was safe from cameras was behind them, which is how I got into photography to begin with).
In this day, where cameras are mounted on helmets, and a zillion phone selfies flood everywhere... I feel kind of lost when people ask me for photos. Even people i know in real life. I used to have a few art pieces, like that, which made me feel safe. Something that I was happy with.
It's a huge thing, if you hate your photos, to have even one. Cheers.
