My advice, if you are serious, is don't have the stash..... don't bring it into the house. If you haven't got chocolate or evil food in the house and only good healthy food then when hungry your only option is better food.
If you are not hungry and are just depressed; go find something you enjoy to do and do it rather than sit and eat. I even find if I've been working long hours and get little sleep I over eat for energy. Now if I'm really tired I either sleep or go for a walk to re-energize myself as food, especially sugar, only gives you a rush.
Interesting fact: did you know salami sets off more of the 'good feeling endorphins' than what chocolate does?!!
