I'm Doing This For Me, Because I'm Worth It

Well, KP, I jumped out of bed this morning and made it to the gym. I was only there for ten minutes on the treadmill, but it's a start right? Usually I just sit on my bum in the morning. I do want you to know I did think of you while doing all of this. I didn't back out(though my head started having those thoughts). So thank you for your strength!

Now I feel guilty. I didn't go to the gym this afternoon and I can't go tomorrow either. I went to the post office earlier and felt decidedly shakey.

I'll be back at it next week. I have had a couple of comments, even from my husband who isn't the most observant (bless him, just as well I love him:rolleyes:), that I have lost weight. I bought a new top yesterday and guess what, 2 dress sizes smaller, woo hoo.

Sounds like your metabolism is really picking up. The body can deal with the odd blow out as long as the general trend is healthy. Well done you!

I have a stinking cold, spending a lot of time in semi hibernation mode waiting to feel better. Have some chest pain today so off to the GP for a check as I have complicated lungs from surgery so have to be careful. I'm sure it's fine though.

Congratulations an all you have achieved so far KP and I know you will achieve even more!

And a big well done to all of us who are really trying!

Well I have had a very strange week. I went to a Viking/Medieval fair on Saturday and spent hours just walking around. We knew the chap who organised it all from way back and got chatting.

He had done a TV show about lost treasures a few years back and invited us to be extras on a documentary he is filming so myself, H and our eldest spent Sunday morning dressed as foresters and Sunday afternoon dressed as knights!

This meant I had to wear a metal helmet and carry an axe, shield and a 6 foot spear. I had to jump out of a ditch by a stream and 'attack' and arrest some other people. That shield was so heavy and it was really hot! I had layers of authentic wool clothes on and we just boiled!

Now that was enough exercise for one weekend I think!

(The film is a documentary and will either be on UK TV or straight to DVD but as an extra there might be only a glimpse of us in the background or nothing at all - the stills look good though).

A very exciting and exhausting day!

I went to the hospital today for a DEXA scan (deep bone x-ray used to check bone density) and was told my BMI and weight were fine, it seems I have lost 7 pounds!

More running around in the woods is predicted for late November/December!

I am finally going to get the repairs on my car done. I need so much work on it. My daughter will go with me and help me to get a rental car as well.

My daughter has a very special hair stylist and she is going to make me an appointment to get my hair trimmed, dyed and styled.

I am so glad that I am pushing forward in spite of how bad I have felt.
