Hi guys

I just wanted to ask a question if anyone else has experienced something like this. I was diagnosed with complex ptsd in my early twenties at uni due to teenage/ childhood severe trauma and now have been in therapy for a year and more thought i was making a good effort. Then a month ago april 4 I had a drowning accident in the pool due to medical reasons i won't go into too much detail but i will say i felt like i was about to die now after having recovered and it nearly being a month I am constantly crying everyday since the accident I am getting severe headaches and I am not sleeping I am also feeling very confused like the pieces don't add up together the headaches and confusion are the most irritating part i get most confused at night can someone please give me some advice on this as I have never experienced this before it would be of great help

Kind Regards

Are you in therapy right now?

It sounds like you're experiencing a surge in symptoms. It may take some time for your body to calm down again.

yeah i have been in therapy since i was 21 i am now 23 my near drowning incident happened a month ago but my previous trauma happened when i was 16 and i have had trauma as a child due to medical surgeries i was born with a heart condition which can't be fixed but is working as well as it can be

Hopefully, the therapy should bring some relief... I also had a traumatic experience in my childhood which wasn`t possible to forget without a specialist. But eventually he helped me.
