Sufferer Introduction from IT guy

Hi I’ve suffered from sexual, physical and emotional abuse, amongst others. I work in IT, I am neurodivergent and don’t have many friends and I’m ashamed of my body. I really would like to make some friends even if they are only on this forum. Please change my status to where it no longer says new here because I’ve been coming to this forum and posting a long time. may i ask what "neurodivergent" means to you? i looked it up and the term seems to cover a wide variety of conditions.

personally, i think the user levels and scores make this site feel like a video game. i think. i started computer work in the 70's when a cheap computer was still a high dollar investment. i still haven't learned how to treat computers like cheap toys.

Hi Arfie you must be my parents generation Based on working on computers in the 70’s. I have ADD, autism, OCD, PTSD, etc. what was the first computer that you used?

if 1982 is your birth year, then you are smack dab between my two sons agewise. it was a golden era for computer careers. you could just about get a job if you could define, "internet."

what was the first computer that you used?

my first computer job was army signal corps in CINCUSAEUR headquarters. the comm center had 4 separate internets with equipment ranging from world war two teletypes to a "DIN" (digitally integrated network). our scanner needed two operators to run as compared to the laser gun you see at the grocery store.

my first on-line support group was on teletypes with gi's assigned to isolation posts. my first username was, "pizzaface."
