Thanks for the advice! I will definitely have to work on that, and will have to make sure I do not let the codependency just flip the other way when I start getting help. I have only started remembering my childhood over the last few weeks and it isn't a very comfortable feeling. I am used to every day before today being a blur and never even thought it was unusual until my girlfriends doctor pointed it out. Didn't even know I may have had traumas until I sat in at a family workshop for PTSD and realized they could be describing me just as easily as my girlfriend. Probably going to have to get some help at some point soon as the more that comes back the more I am getting triggered.
