This is my first post on this forum and I'm not sure if I'm doing this introduction right. So here goes....
For 40 years I've been the husband of a woman with PTSD. The past 25 years have been highly challenging due to her chronic avoidance in many areas, and I've really struggled to stay in the marriage. I am weary and exhausted from waiting for a drop of change in a vast desert where safety is her first priority and intimacy is mine. (I have never been violent or abusive or threatening, but her childhood perpertrator, a male, was.) A person dying of thirst can only think of water!
My main hope is to connect with carers in the Twin Cities metro area. If you are such an individual, please let me know and say hello. Thanks, John Prin
