Thank you all for your responses. I did take one today as I had a major panic attack, probably the worst I've had which freaked me out. Even though I wasn't panicking anymore, I still felt on edge.

First reaction, it makes me feel a bit loopy, my muscles are very relaxed and I feel a sense of weightlessness.

As for this night away, it's about a 2 and a half hour drive and car rides alone make me anxious. I'm thinking of taking half so .5 before I leave my house and if I'm experiencing anything while there I can take the other half. I don't want to get addicted and take it as a preventative but I also know some of my triggers and being away from home and on long car rides are some of them.

@Chaoticmind maybe take half, .5 and work up to a whole one?

I have to take it on a schedule while working because if i dont im going off on customers but my anxiety is always there...it lessens to something i can deal with but never really goes away completely.

Try the apps i posted or if you dont have a mobile device google some self help for anxiety as if you do that and learn breathing tecniques and metaphors (like me imaging floating on my back on water) that seems to lessen the constant anxiety and the panic attacks as a whole. If you know that you are about to go into something that is gonna make you panic (like for me, being around a lot of people for example of one) then take it about 15 mins before you go but be careful if its making you feel "loopy" when driving.

My step mom takes it on the dot at the same time every day, anxiety or not, and she is addicted. Benzos are addicting but as long as you know that, take it as needed and only as much as needed (like a half if you only need a half...or not at all if you can deep breath yourself through it) then you'll be ok.

Always remember that though it feels like it will, anxiety wont kill you; its your brain's fight or flight response going off without apparent danger. Deep breathing and making sure you are not holding your breath, thinking of positive things, that sort of thing can get you through it some of it

I know severe panic attacks sucks, trust me i know. :hug:s if you accept from someone that has severe anxiety too and gets it. And i think the majority of this site "gets" anxiety.
