I'm surprised they didn't hospitalize him!! In the US, they would have admitted him at the veteran's hospital for treatment because he was a danger to himself and others. Pretty scary for the person with PTSD but sometimes the best way to get them on the right path for treatment. Do they have veterans hospitals there??
Happily do what again?? Try to chop off his hand, throw you out of the house or just terrify you and your child? Really? Because if he remembers what happened then I doubt he was in a true flashback and that's an even scarier thought!!!

Is he still in the military?? If so, get ahold of his chain of command. I hope his psychologist can recommend the right path for him.
