Out of the Fog website has a top 100 traits of personality disorders. I was not able to post the link as I am new. You may google: Out of the Fog and click Traits.

Reading through these traits, I identified my father, my wife and my sister using invalidation on me which is an aggressive form of emotional abuse. From here, I was able to understand much in the way of how I was being abused and how to counteract it.

Invalidation is emotionally abusive. It wears a person down and breaks the spirit. I hope you find all of the help, support, and resources to help you to become free of this.

Wow. I just looked it up and read through that list, and found that 69 of the 100 apply to my father. :eek:
