Last movie or tv series you watched?

TheKiddo is attempting to make a Kubric fan out of me. He’s failing in that endeavor, (although he’s succeeded in getting me to actually watch. the. whole. thing. :wtf: which wouldn’t happen for absolutely anyone else on the planet)... but we’re having some wicked cool convos. I DO agree Kubric is an artistic genius, which probably helps, I just don’t like his work. TheKiddo can accept that I don’t like his work -so far- because he can accept people like different things. He cannot accept contempt prior to investigation -or outright dismissal- So I appear to be fated to watch ALL of Kubrics films.

TBH? I would watch someone read the phone book for 2 hours to have a chance to sit next to my kid sharing something he loves with me.

It’s also fun :sneaky: to argue why something sucks / is brilliant / totally sucks / pure genius / OMFG it’s terrible / lovely perfect amazing ...with someone who can argue passionately for their point, without getting their nose bent out of shape for being wrong disagreed with.

My Life as a Turkey on dvd (I highly recommend it - I think it's on you tube, too...it's a PBS production) and Bird Brain on netflix, also a good one. If someone calls you a bird brain, don't get pissed, just thank them and enjoy the compliment. :)

American Horror Story, up to season 5, sort of, I liked Murder House and Coven (Stevie Nicks appears in that one! :) ), but couldn't get completely through all of the others because it was too gory/disturbing and I hate Lady Gaga. I'm curious to know what the ones after season 5 are like but I will wait for the price to go down on them.

Carnival Row on Amazon . I loved it.
I have started the Magicians. I read the first book at least, and I think the second. The adaptation from what I remember seems fair. It’s a really interesting comparison to Carnival Row in .... everything.. though.

TV show about Sir Nicholas Winton, who organised the kinder transports from Czechoslovakia just before the 2nd World War.

Annihilation - the destruction of european jews

Leaving Neverland.

Needed some cheerful viewing.
