Exposure' to the trauma is significant IMHO.
A person who "experiences death" is...dead?
a person who "directly experiences actual death".
Directly experiencing or witnessing actual or immediate threat of death, catastrophic injury, or sexual violence.
My only concern is that it can also be read so that ptsd includes, among other things, a person who "directly experiences actual death". That's one of the many options that this statement allows for. And to me, that's nonsensical.
