Literally pulling out my hair

Does anyone else here do this? Lately, every few minutes I notice myself pulling at the very fine hair on the top of my head. My hair is pretty thin already and it falls out quite a bit on its own due to thyroid issues. I really don't need a bald spot to make me feel uglier.

I can't seem to stop. It's totally subconscious. I don't think of myself as a very anxious person but over the years I've gathered that I do a lot of little behaviours that all point to anxiety. Things like always covering myself with a pillow when I sit on a couch. Rocking ever so slightly. Tearing apart paper napkins into tiny pieces. I have destroyed a few pens and thermal mug in therapy because I dismantled them and destroyed the small parts without even thinking about it. But, I don't have an anxiety problem.
