I'm doing better this winter with walking my dog. Last year I told her (Sadie, my sweet dog) that the deal was: a regular "long" walk if it's at least 35F WITH sun. Otherwise, the "long" walk would occur if the high reached the mid 40s (whether sunny or grey).

Yesterday, we walked with a sunny 20F and today we walked with a grey, damp 33F.
 
So in thinking about it last night I decided to do an Insanity workout - but it wasn't an 'actual' workout - it was called cardio recovery or something like that. Only 33 minutes so I figured how heavy could it be since it had 'recovery' in the title, Not having done it before I thought it still constituted a 'rest' day.

Ok, wrong. But so, so good anyway lol.

Today is a skate day and then a quick 7k run in the snow. I have an ice rink close by and am going to take my lunch hour and skate fo the next few weeks. It's not so much cardio but good overall balance and core work. I have to work very hard just to stay upright on these tiny bladey things.
 
Welp, not much to report. Too paralyzed about going to the doctors office. Now, its done and all that worry amounted to a very informative discussion. So, went for a walk when I got home....hmmm about five minutes. Planning a walk down to the beach this afternoon. I saw a free download on Nike+. for 15, 30 and 45 minute workouts for all levels. Would be helpful to have a video to watch, gonna give it a try. Have a nice day and Happier Year ahead for us all.
