Loud sounds from cutting tree behind of my building

I don't know what it's about but construction sounds absolutely drive me insane. Now there is a guy cutting this huge tree from the lot behind my building. It's taking a long time and it's driving me nuts. I'm presuming someone finally decided to do something with the lot. It was a bit tree though, I'm on the 3rd floor and it was reaching right below my window. The sound of the -what is that called, chainsaw?"- is driving me insane, I want to stay with hand on my ears until they are done...

Nah.. get up, get dressed and go out for a few hours until they are finished cutting. :)

PTSD gives us hypervigilance. So we can become very sensitive to sound etc.. I tend to be sensitive to light, car lights hurt my eyes. Or temperatures. Nothing wrong with that, work on the hypervigilance, or hypersensitivity. Or, as the last poster suggested, avoid it. Or ear plugs ?
