Madness, Insanity & The World Wide Web

@anthony I think a cruzie day like that is a blessing, "normals" apparently get them all the time, but it is annoying to have the list in your head, I agree.

Maybe a perpetual list where you can see it will take away the annoyance, because your brain will acknowledge that the task will be done.

It works for me.

I change between "wall lists" and an exercise book I write "daily lists" in.

I like Wall LIsts best. A blackboard or whiteboard ???

If I feel I am struggling I write the smallest task and the smallest achievements in.

I like it. It frees up brain space.

Apparently we can only keep 5-7 items in our short-term memory.

If they are written down, I get brainspace left over for things like "Go Get a Mocca" and "Put Knickers On" or
"Watch latest pirated Game of Thrones".

Worth a try.

I wonder when this happens (me too at the moment) if we need to follow our body's needs and sleep and be slobs or take some meds and try to push through it.

My gut says we are supposed to 'take to our beds" for a day or two. Somehow it seems like not being strong, but I get fkg sick of trying to be strong. It must be so much harder to be male and have it.

I used to work in a PTSD mental health unit. Most of the guys who came in needed some head space. Time-out. Retreat.

I am sure they hated the bloody music therapy and talk therapy and the war movies playing the background. I bet they would have recovered just as well sitting in a tent in the bush with a mate, talking shit and scratching their goolies.

Nuns go on retreat. I hate this shit. Sorry you're having some bad days. I beleive physical trauma knocks us around too.

I think your jaw work would have knocked around your system.

You have official permission to put on trackies and scratch whatever you want.

Argh... The daily chores of doing the shopping.
