Just as Froggie has said, everyone here has something to offer, the most important element you all bring is support for each other. Getting through the day is sometimes hard enough, but even so if you can find time to give something of yourself then you are truly winning. Giving freely as you do in many respects is much more than some people can muster in the so called "normal" non PTSD world.

In helping others we often find the strength to help ourselves,

Froggie,

I am on board with the "do what is in your heart" be it directly for you or not. However, no matter what you decide, there will certainly be much learning and many blessings, for you bring both to "any table/gathering".

I also applaud your son for speaking so openly with you (as long as that is ok with you), for at least you do not have to try to guess what he feels or needs. Death is hard to face, but when you stare at each morning and still go about your day, then I think that old say of "death is just part of life" rings true in a not so creepy way - hope you get my point, as I too look in a similar mirror.

Be true to yourself while following wherever your heart leads you, and you rarely have regrets!

Love,
Alex

Froggie

You are removing the walls about the territories which have entrenched your thoughts. To transcend the harm of harsh words and ill deeds of the past can be truly liberating; moreover it helps to puts you back in control. In treading your new chosen path of conciliation others shall notice a change in you, and cause them to alter their preconceptions, because you will appear strong to those who may have thought you weak. Taking risks is akin to growing roots of strength, thus without the risks you may never realize the full potential of your own strength.
