Meetings With Members Off Forum

I'm feeling the aftermath of the trip quite alot at the moment. All the feelings from the forum I was a member of when I was attacked are coming up.

York will be a challenge because its where the man who protected my attacker lives. The attack happened in Yorkshire, so that trainline is one with memories.

But Ive had to leave any friends Ive made because of what happened. And I feel angry that those men have made such an impact on my life. So I think getting to York to meet new people socially, would be a safe way of showing myself that he has no power over me.

So glad to read you all had fun meeting up, and proud of you all - this thread has really made me smile :)

I'd like to meet other members from the UK but I'm not someone who likes photographs being taken (although if I wear a big floppy hat then I can hide in any photos lol).. and it would all depend on finances and how I get from Scotland to York or wherever lol. Maybe one day the England peeps can have a nice day out in Edinburgh or Glasgow? You have to see the beautiful tram works in Edinburgh... they really have improved our capital city (I just ooze sarcasm sometimes) ;). Seriously though, let me know about the picnic or whatever you plan next - I've never met anyone with PTSD, never met anyone who might understand and that I could feel (sort of) comfortable with!

That's nice people's partners went too! Oh, and Loloma, you put me to shame - I thought travelling from Scotland to England would be too far, lol.

Photos are optional and we all agreed it was OK to post them.

I love Edinburgh (well except those bloody steps up to the castle ). York to Edinburgh is a straight forward train journey although the cost may be high, as is all rail travel here.

It would be lovely to have you with us though.
