I'm STILL not having a shot at spelling the thing but we used to see them in northern Maine, in the summer. For some reason it hasn't been the case lately, but remember as children thinking it was some typical summer magic, all these smudged lights moving around in the sky over the lake. I'll bet even the folks who live in Alaska and places it's a common event never quite get used to it. If it were me, think I'd just be a little smug. :)
