I have had to make some minor adjustments to the overall system settings today as the forum was beginning to drag the server with its increased visitors. So the recommended threads that where displayed at the footer in all threads has gone, along with a few minor aspects that I doubt anyone will even know is missing.
Basically, the end result of turning off 3 features dropped the CPU load in half for the same amount of traffic, literally curbing the doubling of daily forum traffic to now counter any further CPU drag. This assists in the forum running without me having to further upgrade, which as previously stated, I am hoping to get a bit more usage from my recent server upgrade before having to do so again, which will be around an extra US$100 - US$150 per month on top of what it costs now for this forum.
Hopefully these few changes should be sufficient to now monitor the further growth of incorporating the handful of languages which still requires another couple of months assessment yet before I would think about adding any more of the 52 languages. If the growth continues, I may even have to remove one of the languages until such time as the forum generates more money to assist in any such further server upgrades.
