That's good. I think it's important for each parent to stick up for their kids' emotional rights, even to the point of taking a stand that calls the other spouse on their behavior. There is no good in not standing up for them.

I was also married to a man with PTSD and depression. I took the very difficult steps of getting out. I have been on my own now for two months and believe it it not he is more engaged with our boys living outside of the house. I feel lonely partially because I was starting to get used to constant drama. My kids are much better and I am finding peace. There is hope, and I'm not against seeing if it's possible to work on things if he can really implement the changes long term. They were huge steps for me, letting of someone I love go. Hang in there!
