Network Sites Downtime

Expect some downtime for the other sites within the My Network, as they are currently all resolving to their own IP in preparation to become https this year as part of the 2013 network solution.

At present, they will not be https until the next release of Xenforo software which incorporates a default mobile style. This will allow https to then carry a standard https mobile version that will work on any phone. No further need for additional third party applications such as Forum Runner or Tapatalk by the end of 2012, whilst providing users maximum security when interacting with any of the sites.

Sorry mate, I never check this forum and I don't think the majority of the veterans do either. I don't recall whether you posted this in admin on the combat forum.

Any idea how long???

Based on experience Jimmy, when we changed my website hosting, it could take up to 24 hours... the first time it took 2 days (over a weekend) but the next time it took 3-4 hours.

Ok got ya on that Anthony, wasn`t sure if the site had crashed or not. No worries :tup: but like jimmy said, I rarely come on here either, this is the misses`s place

Maybe next time if it's possible, could you place a post in the admin area of the combat forum. There will be a lot of lost soles there now who don't even know this site exists.

The site will be up to different people, at different times in the world, as it resolves to the new static IP address. For a static IP, look at 24 - 48hrs for it to resolve, which means it will then show the website.
