Most of this seems geared specifically towards therapy and medication, neither of which I receive. I've been looking at ways of dealing with it on my own.

Welcome, SilentBob. Keep reading through the threads, there is so much info here, and just being able to talk about it is a start.

I would wonder if you have ever tried therapy or meds of any sort, and regardless, what are your misgivings on them. I think it is a difficult thing to deal with on your own. However, as you have been told here already, you are not alone, I would think finding kindred souls with whom to discuss your situation would be comforting.
