New To Exposure Therapy

Hi, I'm new here and I just started exposure therapy with my therapist and am wondering if this is weird ...

I see my therapist on Monday's and the counseling office is closed Fri-Sun (except for the phone line that remains open, which I would never call. Ever.) Since starting the exposure therapy I feel a HUGE need to "touch base" with her on Thursdays now. I don't contact her, but I have this ridiculous amount of anxiety thinking that I *should.* What is that about?!?! Have any of you felt a need to contact your therapist for absolutely no particular reason??? I'm not in crisis or anything, I'm perfectly fine with waiting until my appoint, so what is this mid-week anxiety all about?!?!?!
 
I try not to analyze such urges. I just follow the impulse. It is not a common urge for me, either, but trouble trusting my instincts or asking for help is on the list of reasons I am in therapy to begin with. I over-analyze them instead of acting on them. Trust? Me? You're so-o-o-o cute!

For sure, effective therapy causes deep personal changes no one can fully predict. Just gotta take the leap of faith and see where it goes.
