@ Isable
yeah I feel the way you do I'm not sure if one came before the other but they sure compliment each other. :(

I've got PTSD/complex trauma, bipolar, ADHD, dissociative fugue (or is it amnesia?) and toss in some psychotic features, though the severity in most has lessened.

My diagnosis says PTSD, cycling depression (it's always 'currently mild episode') and disthymia.
I don't know why they put both, disthymai and depression there, because disthymia is a 'chronic depression' that doesn't fulfill all diagnostical criteria.

Before PTSD entered the picture, my lable was 'Combined Personality Disorder with narcissistic, paranoid and self-insecure compounds' plus 'Aspects of Schizotypical Personality Disorder'.

I was originally diagnosed with severe depression, then PTSD, OCD, Bipolar Disorder secondary to PTSD, Insomnia, and Bulimia...and depending on which dr you're asking, mild schizophrenia

Originally I was diagnosed with severe depression and anorexia/bulimia. Now I'm on disability for chronic Migraines with PTSD and Bipolar I. However, when I read through the disability papers the hospital had me down as schitoaffective in there somewhere as well HA! Bipolar runs pretty rampant in my family, having lost my cousin and Grandmother to it through suicide for lack of treatment, bless their souls.

It's like pick a label and get paid while in the hospital, I think I've had a good many of them at one time or another when hospitalized, depending who was on duty ;)

I have PTSD and Major Depressive Disorder. When I was tested for depression several years ago I was told that my scores were "off the charts" (meaning it was severe). I was once told I have fragmented personality disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety etc. but I think that all boils down to having C-PTSD. I am an adult child of an alcoholic and a male survivor of sexual child abuse (as well as other forms of abuse)

I have been dx'd w/BPD, postpartum depression, depression & anxiety and BP II. Someone once tried to DX me w/schizoid affective but I politely said no thank you and pointed out that my meds sort of paralyzed my face. Shrinks, they make me laugh sometimes, they really have no clue and it doesn't bother them a bit to give you another label if it will justify your meds regime and get you out of their office in 20 minutes.

I'm in the process of trying to legitimise my PTSD with a DX, but it very much comes down to the grace and favour of the heroic Freud squad. Wish me luck!

I have only been to therapy twice my whole life, I haven't given anyone the chance to really diagnose me with anything other than PTSD, which I was diagnosed with rather fast.
I do however believe that I may have Paranoid Personality Disorder.
I also am aware that I am on the autistic spectrum, but I don't think that I am autistic, I just have a lot of autistic characterstics.
It's also likely that I have ADD, but who knows, that may be related to PTSD.

I am hoping to be able to go to therapy soon so I can learn more about myself. Learning is always nice.

I have PTSD, morbid depression, hypervigilance, voices, panic attacks, anxiety, paranoia, insomnia, intolerance to noise, emotional numbness and something called anhedonia. And that it but it hinders my life in a major way.
