Our Pets

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for this thread. It's a great way to put up my first real post without too many nerves. I have a very handsome Pitbull x mastiff dog named Spike. He is about 5 years old. He was a rescue dog. Due in part his breeding and scars on his head he is terribly misunderstood. All he wants to do is to love and to be loved unconditionally in return. When I am having a panic attack or terribly confused and scared he puts his face in my lap or nudges my hand with his nose to tell me he is there and understands. I don't know how I would cope without him. We do everything together and I take him nearly everywhere I go.

I have learned so much about unconditional love from my dogs. All of my pets teach me something and bring so much comfort. We have 2 big mutts (border collie, labrador, aerdale, and canary mastiff), a small one that we found starving in the streets (jack russell and papillon), and a 14 year old cat. Having grown up without any pets and almost no exposure to them, I truly had no idea how life changing it can be to develop a relationship with an animal! I will never be without animals in my life again, ever.

Thanks for this thread. It felt so good to look at the pics and read about peoples experiences with their pets.

I've never been on this part of the site - wow, all I've been missing! You all have beautiful companions! I have 2 kitties, 'rissa and Silk, and I would not be here without them, quite literally. 'rissa is a brown tabby, 14 years old, and Silk is an almost 8 year old Tortie. They are my family. They are both very loving and attentive and so smart. I'd rather be at home with them than anywhere else.

Chopper, my 4 yr old American Pitbull Terrier - my service dog in training (yes, I know, old...

Just so gorgeous!
