Our Pets

Don't know how I'd get thru most days without my fuzzy, snuggly widdo Peanut. :)

We added to our little habitat room yesterday. Our 15 year old son picked out a Grey Banded Kingsnake. It's absolutely gorgeous with it grey bands that are so shiny they look silver and it's red saddle patches that are outlined in black. It's been a finicky eater so far so I got the phone number of the girl at the pet shop if we have any concerns or need help.

For the whole family we added a Greenbottle Blue Tarantula to our collection. My daughter has been wanting one of these so badly because of their bright colors. They have bright blue legs, an iridescent green carapace and an orange abdomen. We call them rainbow spiders.

I can just see this! I hadn't had dogs since I was a kid, and when I got my son a mastiff puppy for his birthday, they through in the runt for free! Anyway, they were 12 weeks old, 25 lbs, and really, really clumsy. I asked the vet if there were something wrong with the pups, and she said, "haven't you had puppies before?" That is just how puppies are.

Poor Saffi has a limp. I gave her and Max new teddies. Saffi went to her basket to rip the teddy eyes out , yes, all of the teddies are blind. When she came out of her basket, she was limping. Hubby and I had a good look but couldn't see anything. Hopefully a nights rest will help.

Fingers crossed.

My Bella limped for a few days. I was beside myself but I gave it 3 days and she stopped. Both my girls get wild sometimes and try to run out the dog door at the same time. Once they tore the storm door off the hinges. Nugget was wearing it since she was half in the dog door.
