I just took your survey as well and the one question about deaths or severe illnesses of loved ones really made me see how many they were... :cry: I didn't put all of them on my trauma list and listing them there was woah... overwhelming. It was good though, too, to just see it black on white.

Next time perhaps have categories for child sexual assault and domestic violence. They are important traumas that need to be recognised.

I just out from early childhood until mid teens. Next time put in possible ages perhaps?

I hope you get the responses you need. I can see how this would work:

Those who then did not meet the criteria for PTSD (through the two PTSD questionnaires used) will be used as a control group

and that the PTSd information is just about ticking off its relevance or not. That the exercise in relation to trauma is what it is about.

Hi, just want to warn you that your results may be complicated by recent findings that people with fibromyalgia don't attenuate to the pain of a new exercise. A lot of people with child abuse seem to have developed fibromyalgia, maybe from being tensed up all the time.

Aldo, thanks for your input also. I have noticed that relatively few people stated that they had fibromyalgia when completing the questionnaires, so hopefully this will not be so much of an issue. Interesting research though!
