My name is Monika Krvina, I am a Master student of Criminal and Investigative Psychology at the University of East London and I am asking rape and sexual assault survivors to speak out for my dissertation.
The purpose of this research project is to explore experience with partner's support after rape. Although it is completely your decision whether you take part or not, we hope you will. With your participation you will help us understand whether partner's support is important from a survivor's aspect or not, and also what does and does not help to recover from such a traumatic event, how to deal with PTSD. However, talking about the experience helps you to improve your healing as well.
Should you choose to participate, you will be individually interviewed via private messages, email, chatroom or skype, or if preferably, I can send you questions and you will answer them whenever you find the time for doing so. The questions you will be asked, will be focused only on the area of your experience and partner's support. You will not be asked to provide any information which could be used to identify you, and you have the right to withdraw at any point until the data analysis (15th of August).
Please consider, as a participant you can be of any sexual orientation, age, gender (males appreciated as well), race, religion or ethnicity, but you need to have had a partner during or soon after the experience of rape (or SA).
Thank you for taking your time to read this. Your input in this research would be very helpful. If you meet the criteria mentioned above and would like to participate, or you have any questions or queries, please feel free to contact me via private message.
All the best, Monika
