Very low quality photo because it was taken on my phone on full zoom, and mid-run.

Tried to capture a Tūī enjoying a meal of nectar from a flax bush.
The bright orange patch on his head is pollen, that he will carry to other flax flowers.

Below his head, you can just make out a white circle, which is his throat tuft; a distinctive feature of Tūī, known as a poi.

I like trains, the desert, and history. My son likes trains, the desert, and history. Here's a picture that I took from the arches of an old train station in the middle of the Mojave Desert in California. I like the juxtaposition of the modern train, the old building, and the beautiful mountains.

What camera did you use for this? It looks very professional.

Taken few years back before accident. Very lucky shot. I always tried to catch a dragonfly when i was a kid then one day it caught me as an adult mature enough to be respectfully gentle.
