Very low quality photo because it was taken on my phone on full zoom, and mid-run.
Tried to capture a Tūī enjoying a meal of nectar from a flax bush.
The bright orange patch on his head is pollen, that he will carry to other flax flowers.
Below his head, you can just make out a white circle, which is his throat tuft; a distinctive feature of Tūī, known as a poi.
