Bird feeders are down, and I haven't had the energy to walk around the lakes. Too hot. Depressed. I did go to a local forest, though, for a short hike. It was crazy hot; not sure why I didn't think about that before I went. But still...

Me, pulling the flag. Special day, played with a couple from Arizona. He was an ad exec for Chrysler back in the day. Had so much fun I didn't realize until I went to enter my score I broke 80 (78) for the first time.

Yesterday at the market I couldn’t resist the sweet corn, some tomatoes, green apples and flowers for me and mom, or mom and dad as we old folks say. When I’m in my best Boston accent, I pronounce it cohn like fawn or con as in consenting.
