I teach at the Police Academy and I am looking for help. I want to put together a full training program geared towards recognizing and dealing with PTSD and Depression, ADA protections, and helping return officers to the job.

I have dealt with PTSD and I know it's more prevalent then most people want to admit. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful.

I recommend you contact the VA trauma center in your area. I don't have the physical book, but if you look up the book, Invisible Heroes: Survivors of Trauma and How They heal, by Belleruth Naparstek, she has a list of places that can help. Good luck. It's a great thing you are doing. She has done a lot of work in that area.
