My step mom has advanced COPD and she still smokes, cheap $1 pack cigars. :wtf:

I get a flu shot every year too (forgot to this year) and so far ive gotten sick less minus one year when a batch of flu shots we bad.

Knock on wood, I've never had the flu----believe it or not!

I was quite sick this year but the doc said it was strep. The symptoms weren't quite what the flu would give, but still, lesson learned! If the flu is that bad or worse, I'm definitely getting the shot! 2 weeks of fever, etc----not fun.

Sad------I really hope it wasn't a case of Prince being surrounded by "yes men" who didn't care so much about his welfare and just wanted to get paid.

@hodge that makes more sense now because my step mom said "Prince died of a percocet overdose" and I said "they don't have the toxicology report back yet" (this was a few days ago but a few days after I had googled) and she said "it said right on the tv" and i asked where and asked "fact or rumor?" (as I know celb death and rumors) and i had found out it was running across the bottom of Fox News. Ive been home so i run my dad out of the livingroom, I aint watching it all day and he had left it on in the bedroom.

The reason that makes sense is when my ex-roomates lived with me that if they shot someone else up (they were herion addicts, not me) and that person overdosed then they could get charged with manslauter.

Unsure about selling pills or over-perscribing pills and im not saying he was injecting it. Im just saying that what she saw makes sense. I knew they found percocets (or thats what was rumored, it maybe straight oxycodone, unsure why it wouldnt be) so I suppose we will see what they find and im sure the toxicology report showed a lot of opioids or they wouldnt be invesitgating it, in my opinion.

There's a Strib article today that maybe lends more insight. So, it looks like they're looking into that aspect.

I'm just so sad to learn he had this problem. So many gifted people seem to. Not really surprised, though . . . every time I've listened to "When Doves Cry" I've wondered if he was abused by his parents.

From what I heard the son would have given the drug to the doc on site to administer. The addiction doc was out of town at the time so he sent his son. Neither had seen Prince before this point. I don't think any rules were broken TBH.

Ah, okay, Eve. That makes sense. I agree, in that case, no ethics would have been broken if the son gave the meds to Prince's doc on site. But, damn, it's really a moot point now that he's gone. Though I can understand the authorities wanting to investigate. I would want to, also. No one's end of life should be just forgotten and not explained.
