@BrokenTwill that sounds pretty much like my own therapist responses and experiences. Myself and others were severely threatened and in my last two years only 10 or so people out of 80 in the corporate office remained after extensive firing and mistreatment. Personally for me, I saw the scenario as something that would forever damage my career future if I ever failed impossible demands. I'm discovering there are underlying issues that probably predisposed me (if that's even the correct word, trying to understand it myself), kinda like peeling back the layers of an onion. I'm glad you are able to ask the questions though! I was told for 4 years (2 while I was in the scenario) but I mentally blocked/forgot it all except for what validated the trauma without making it something I couldn't handle. Keep asking yourself and the therapist questions. It seems to be a learning process and I am so glad you have the courage to do so now.
@gizmo I think I want to read that book, but I am a bit scared it might trigger me at the moment. Does it use actual scenarios or experiences to explain? I'm assuming it does, but want to make sure before I order and read it. Want to be sure what I may experience.
