In 2001'ish (? can't remember year very well right now) I had a mysterious medical condition. I still think it was a mild heart attack. I went from healthy one day to not being able to do any physical activity without extreme exhaustion. A flight of stairs would wipe me out. My EKG went from normal to resembling someone who has had a heart attack. I went on temporary orders to the Naval Hospital in San Diego for 6 months. I got basically ignored with a medical appointment once or twice a month and each time an answer that scared the hell out of me, only to be dismissed with the follow up tests. I ended up lying to get back to normal duty status just to get out of there, because they weren't doing anything to help me or really find out what was wrong with me. I never have fully recovered. I have next to no endurance every since regardless of how hard I've exercised. Before my Fibro kicked up in the last few years, I could walk 10 miles, but couldn't jog one.

I played this song a lot while I was there, the chorus of "heal it up" is what struck a deep cord with me, the rest of the words other than "deep in your eyes your 100 years old, because time has not been kind to you, you know" I kind of glossed over.
