Yer average Deutsche Bauer used to wave us very enthusiastically into their fields----
'Ja Kamerade, heir kommen, Kein problem!'
Thet got f*cking AWESOME damage compensation off NATO.
The number of mildewed or bug-eaten crops I've bivvied in..................
Sadly not allowed to cause damage anymore. You have to go out of your way to ensure you no longer drive through his crop. But I do have some good memories of Gun Battles in some poor villages where you were not supposed to be :ROFLMAO: or Recky driving a Centurian ARV down some narrow lane towing a Chieftan and flatening half a dozen BMW`s and Mercs :ROFLMAO: Oh Happy days.
Realy realistic training these days. I had 2 squaddies in the shop last week who had just finished exercise. 1 was on an all PC Battle Group Scenarios, the other had just come in from 6 days on Stapel, complaining about the 9x9 they were living in and the fact they didn`t have enough fuel for their heater.
I mean it is still snowing here. Back in the days of Centurions and Chieftans we would have been out up to our bollocks in snow pretending the Russians were coming living in bashas and washing in mess tins wearing if you were lucky, a Norwegian and Highlegs, and if not lucky the good old Hairy Mary and DMS.
I did think about putting this in the jokes bit, but f*ckit, we need a balance.
Here's a nice jolly song about nature, and animals, and what they do! I rate these blokes, honorary squaddies, they are.
The end when he is spitting the brown stuff into his mates mouth. Classic. Makes the whole vid worth it. BTW? I would do any of the 4 French girls. Nice one Ned!!!
Cheers for something a bit upbeat Ned, I truly rarely come to this thread because there is so much "Aint the hand I been dealt shit, god life sucks, morbid slash your f*cking wrists" music
Then it goes all proper Californian Desert Western theme.
I reckon no-one does that better than Ennio Morricone, he's a genius, but these British blokes came a close second in the late sixties.
I know ...I know its Phil the pill but this song is some much of me that I would ask everyone else if they felt the same?
one of my booze filled suicide attempts had this song on the stereo over and over. Very prophetic, it fits my current life as well.
