Ptsd poetry anyone?

I deleted it. I'll write another one sometime. Thanks for your thoughts. I decided against my though...
Poetry helps me reflect. I'm glad you did too. I'll share something about that first poem...I found out today that my kidnapped father (by bro) has changed the trust, and I'm a trustee, and taken me off...No notice...unable to access my father's accounts or stocks, .ok, I'm reacting...first tears on the bank lady, Gosh how I just want this whole thing to stop. That's my motto: Just make it stop. I went home.

Then I emailed my best friend and asked....What date did I last visit father?....I had a blank-you know a total brain fart...thought it was a month ago......she texts," How would I know." I thought her memory was better than mine...guess I was wron. Then I wrote back the silliest response based on my first poem...".I'm not Dorothy from Oz weirded out by newness and change, not the Gingerbread man afraid for my life, nor Chicken Little running away from the unknown. I'm Grandma calling Munchkins for reinforcements gonna tap my shoes and rid myself of the wolf(AKA bro)" Yea, probably a bit odd summarizing a poem in a text to a friend who has no idea what the heck I'm talking about....but it made sense to me in that moment. Then next text was...."It was a Saturday, I stayed 1 hr., 1st of the month, the 3rd of March!" Wow, I amazed myself..I figured it out because I managed to get unstuck from dissociation land(I could feel it coming on) by referencing a poem.... That was novel.

My friend's response-bless her heart: "I'm glad you found a way to work it out!" I had to laugh...such a little thing. Really....whatever works is right.

At any rate, poetry gives me a different way to view the world and connect, some humor, a strength to call upon...a different way to perceive the moment or reflect on myself,as it did you. Poetry is raw honesty in the moment. Way to go! I did really like your poem.

And lastly, I will always be fighting food, but I think that is much better than some of the other alternative vices. Minus Two hundred lbs later, it is still something I'll always have to watch....we have to eat every day to be healthy-food isn't ever an option not ingest like many other things. I think there are many other worse vices than food (-200lbs and 10 years later I say this after surgery and almost dying on the table to be thin).

As far as your poetry, I'll be looking forward to something upbeat! I could use it! I just had to share this! Its been a real crazy day. I needed to vent a bit...to relate. Thank you so much for your post...It was reflective. Now off to battle the wolf....

Try not to worry
I know that is hard
put your mind to other things;
write a friend a card.

Fold some cloths
dust a bit
try a new hobby
they even come in a kit

While you remain busy
this thing could pass
then you can relax
and give them some sass!

(Just goofing around a bit).

Playing it Cool Haiku

I thought I'd escaped
He followed me to the bus
I bought some ice cream.

I get a lot out of reading and writing poetry. I wrote this today......anyone else got a poem, some lin...

I shared this with T today, and she was intrigued until I died from dissociating whilst in front of a dangerous wolf-which from her facial expression she didn't seem to be expecting. However, she was relieved there was a second ending option with heroes. LOL
