I'm guessing that whatever could have prompted a liver ultrasound could really be a pancreatic problem.
I only practiced as an RN decades ago. I'm in medical law and ethics. Thats all deals / paperwork

Look into it....bluff about resources.

Oh @coco9, you're talking about the liver enzimes or whatever being high in my blood. Yeah, i asked my MD if that could be medication as i have an implanted pain pump too and when you think liver you think medication and she said yes but not likely but yes, i def need to get both the ultrasound and 2nd fasting blood test done.

If it is the medication, not sure what i can do as i cant lesson the medication im on. Better diet would help im sure.

@lostforgottensoul - that reaction to an increase is pretty normal. You might experience it for one more day, and then it will become much less intense. So personally, I'd recommend just sticking with getting the increase done. You've already started the process, it's better to keep going. (I might be reading you wrong - it sounded like you wanted to back off, and try again later. And of course, your choice - I'm only trying to be helpful).

@coco9 - that really is exactly what it's like, those cravings. I'm sorry that it's hitting you so hard. That's a legitimate side-effect that you may decide you don't want to tolerate - you wouldn't be the first person who's done that, not by a long shot. It should stop after about 2/3 weeks once you are at your target dose, if that is helpful.

Not back off the MG, only back off taking any in the day at the moment as its making it impossible to work so i thought of just taking the 200mg tablet at night and getting used to the MG more and then start trying to move it in the day when more used to that MG, if that makes sense.

I can take tomorrow's in the AM and see how it effects me as its a day off but man, that was nuts.

I havent taken Seraquel for 6 years, I was on it for two. I was under extreme stress with no therapist etc. it was really the worst time for me. So I stayed on it for 2 years, I didnt use common sense, medical knowledge or report symptoms to doc very often. For me it was like having type 2 diabetes. I switched to Zyprexa for 1 year.and liked that better. Now I take nothing but gabapentin for MS and just started Ambien again for sleep.

Looking back I can see that the sugar and starch cravings I had caused most of the weirdness, if I'd been more together and got on a strict low carb no white sugar plan I believe it would have been fine.Everybody's different though.

So ive been taking just the 200mg capsule at night, not tapering to day time yet and ive been having a hard time waking up so i lowered the tazaidine i take for sleep by a half, but still issues so im going to take only a half of a xanax 1mg as opposed to a whole ive always taken at night and lower the tazanadine again by half so i will end with 1/2 of tazadine ans 1/2 of a xanax. That wouldnt even make me tired let alone help the night time anxiety before, hopefully it works for sleep and helps me in the AM.

Planning on trying to taper it to the AM starting this coming weekend so hopefullt after a week and a half i'll be used to the increase enough. But it is helping in the day as im back down to a quarter of a 1mg xanax (had to go up to a half after my mom died as the anxiety skyrocketed) so it is helping in the day too. So wont be the end of the world if i have to keep it on PM

I took the 200mg tab at night for a week and this morning, for the first time took it in the morning and good god! Felt very drunk, trouble walking, and slept all day. I opted the take the whole 200mg tab because i only have a few days of the 50mg tabs taking 4 of them, the only way to split it between PM & AM and i dont feel i have enough do so and get used to it so i just took the whole 200mg and well, its staying as a PM med. At least for now. I may try to move it at a later time.

It was helping a bit more, it seemed, with my anxiety in the day until the last few days of the week which is why i decided to do it this weekend. I hope it doesnt stop helping in the day and im gaining weight over nothing or not much.

Im thinking that if i really need to split it between night and morning, i could ask her to prescribe four a day of the 50mg or wait a bit longer to try it again in the morning. But i fear the mg is too much to take in the morning as the most ive taken in the morning is 100mg.

Tried to scan your thread and didn't see this med mentioned, but thought I'd put it out there in case it might work for you. My mom was having a horrible time with agitation/anxiety and the doc put her on Geodon. This is an anti-psychotic drug used often to calm the manic side of B/P disorder. Maybe check it out online and talk to your doc about a low dose? My mom is now very peaceful and calm. She's on Depakote too, but the Geodon seems to have made the real difference.

I haven't found anything to work for anxiety so I take Xanax PRN and am dreading the day I'll have to come off of it. Plus, the Xanax doesn't help me sleep - haven't found anything for that. I'm researching alternative healing herbs like Passion Flower and Lemon Balm to get my body detoxed and ready to try something different, especially to help me sleep.

I was once recommended Seroquel for sleep, but not anxiety. The doc said it'd knock me out until noon the next day though, so I didn't try it. VB

Seriquel immediate release will but seriquel xr, extended release, once you get used to it, doesnt.

This higher dose if taken the AM seems to, but if taken at night doesnt help me sleep and does still help the anxiety in the day as my xanax is still cut back.

I am still on xanax but instead of taking one and still dealing with anxiety i can take half or a quarter and not deal with anxiety.

Im thinking if i land on 300mg i may be able to fully replace the xanax.

Ive never heard of Geodon. Im not BP but I know seriquel was first for BP so i will keep in in mind. So far seriquel is working and i dont want to add another medication. If it fails to take me off the xanax i might but i did have to take 2 weeks off of work for seriquel so im not going to be quick now to give up on it.

But thank you, i will keep it in mind.

seriquel xr, extended release, once you get used to it, doesnt.
I'm not posting this to be contrary - only to say that, in the doses used for managing the bipolar and schizophrenia spectrums, seroquel XR does cause sleepy-ness, a dopey feeling, people describe it as zombie-like or being intensely foggy. That's only at the higher doses. The four dosing ranges (low to high) are insomnia, anxiety, bipolar/depression, schizophrenia.
The doc said it'd knock me out until noon the next day though, so I didn't try it. VB
I had this response to seroquel xr, actually. But it's not the norm. Most people are fine once they adjust, as @lostforgottensoul said.
