Random Acts Of Inattention

Walking to my pharmacy, to get a prescription refilled, the pharmacist asks me, if I had picked an earlier prescription, 8 days ago. As I had brought the wrong empty vial to be refilled. My mistake had caused a minor crisis, as the pharmacy staff were searching for the "missing" prescription.

I have a place where I agreed with myself to "always" leave my keys when I am not using them while in the house. On the nightstand, next to my bed. Well, then the search starts after I have absentmindedly dropped them somewhere, anywhere, etc. The worst is when I have absently put them in a pocket and then later hang that garment in the closet!

I have two sets of keys. When I get to the 2nd set, I frantically wrack my brains and search the whole house looking for the last place I randomly dropped them.... I do have a mental list of all the random places I have found them in the past. After all, we have our random acts of inattention habits and mindless patterns, so use these if you run into trouble finding something like your keys!

Maybe you need to borrow a pair of glasses from Eleanor  ?

Seriously, though - everyone's burns their hand sometimes, right? Except me :ninja: I'm like a ninja around anything hot. I've burnt the soles of my feet :barefoot: and the tops of my toes though

And today, I did something I do about every other week . . . get ready to go out the door then discover I can't find my frk'g blue tooth. I've got the phone - check, but no blue tooth ear piece. Take 15 minutes tearing the place apart, only to give up, jump in my car, start the engine then look in the rear view mirror to discover the blue tooth already in my ear! :O_o:

-I only lose my purse/keys/phone when I'm at home.

-Now that I keep a spare car key in my purse, I've only locked my keys in the car twice in the past few months.

-I find that most of my injuries (cracked fingernail) happen when I am stressed out and in a rush.

-Whenever my two cats are fighting: I realize I forgot to feed them in the morning. (2x in past week: feeling terrible)

-On Thanksgiving eve, I didn't realize that my last refill (muscle relaxant pill) was 12hr Extended Release. I had to take one to get to sleep, then one the next morning (pain issue= allowed to take 2). And I was wondering why I felt like passing out, all through dinner the next night.

This wasn't me, it was my husband. Earlier he thought he heard a dog barking, and noticed our dog seemed to be hearing it too. He even asked if it was on my computer, of which I said yes because it was the sound effects of the game I was playing. A little bit later he gets up to look out the window to see if he can see the dog. Duh moment.
