Saw something suspicious on the tube

You guys are so great. Thank you so much @Freida and @Friday - I felt guilty enough following the attack I saw even though there was literally nothing I could have done.

You are totally right - I can't imagine the guilt I would have felt if I didn't say anything and it had been a bomber.

There are lots of officers positioned in stations all over London, so sending one of them to check up on this wouldn't have caused too much of a problem for them.

I don't know why I'm feeling so guilty and shaken.

Eliza, you absolutely did the correct thing. It is nothing for a police officer or ten police officers to go over and check it out. That is thier job. One way to look at it is what if 1000 people report something supicious and nothing comes of it, but on the 1001st event the person did not report it, and it explodes or whatever, maybe 100 people are killed. The weakest link is where we loose to dark side. No hesitation, no regets, you helped the security system to work. Good job Eliza! Keep it up! :)

A lot of people feel guilty about calling the cops. You would not believe how many calls start with "I'm sorry to bother you but...."
Always made me giggle......what else do you think I'm doing? If you call about something stupid? Don't worry. We will tell you!

And shaken? Ummm. Cause it was a potential replay of a horrible thing that has already happened. Kind of like the trigger from hell....dontcha think??

Definitely the trigger from hell! It caused me to have 3 days off work - that, and the fact I saw a lot of police at a different station on my way home. I honestly thought something really bad was going to happen, and it lasted the best part of a week.
