For anyne wanting to dabble in self administration of CBT, I highly recommend this book.

One of the greatest realisations this book gave me is the concept of self esteem and how developmental trauma relate. This book lightly touchs on why the loss of sense of self happens due to developmental trauma but skips then into the how to get over it work...it is not a manual on understanding the trauma (try Pete Walkers book on cPTSD for that) ... surprisingly, the basic ideas here in this text is nothing new but it is the techniques that are very cleverly structured and insightful ....and give great perspective on how to effect change.
It is not a read and put on the shelf book, nor is it the first place to start. You will be challenged and really to get the most out if it you will need to do exercises and really challenge your judgement and thinking plus have a concept of yourself or at least some good self awareness. This isn't for everyone but if you're committed and find no problems with self motivation, it's excellent.
