Sighs

The PTSD roller coaster is making me feel sick - again!

My vet has been suffering with a malarial relapse. Its taken its toll physically and mentally.

This morning he woke up and told me he'd had a vivid dream that I left him. I tried to give him some reassurance, but he's clearly in a withdrawn isolating state.

Batten down the hatches and hope this blows over soon.

I'm so sorry! It really sucks and it's so hard! I keep going through my own cycles too. I hope you can find the support you need right now.

The rational part of my brain knows that this is temporary and he'll feel better - maybe tomorrow, maybe the next day. But the tiny little seed of fear in the pit of my stomach says - what if this is it? I hate that little seed.

I know exactly how you feel. Mine is starting to show signs of improvement, but I'm still here....alone and wondering if this time he really won't return. Wondering if this time he will stay alone forever.

I can relate to your problem. I have been going through this off and on now for 5 years. This week it has been rough. One thing I've found and I'm still learning every day is that her knowing I'm there for her but not pushing. Sometimes not even talking much has worked and let them come to you. Hope things turn around soon for you
