Do you have a scimitar?

I don't see anywhere in Dawnstar to buy a horse. :(

Oh, but I guess I just need to unload some stuff and fast travel.. duh

One of my characters is a wood elf that I created specifically to become a werewolf. I plan on putting heaps of points into stamina so he can sprint super-fast across the land!!
I also want to get dragon shouts like 'Animal Allegiance' that help create the whole beastmaster concept I am going for. Not sure if you can use dragon shouts while in werewolf form, but if you can that would be wicked.

Dawnstar is not a major city, so it does not have stables. Markarth, Riften,Whiterun, Windhelm and Solitude all have stables. But its the Whiterun horse you want, it is faster.

Make sure you press the 'alt' tab while you press 'W' when you run or use your horse. You can run faster that way. It took me like a month to figure that out. ( your setting might be different though, believe these are the default setting though)

I traveled to the Solitude Lighthouse, which is north north east of Solitude. You just go down to the docks and follow the path under the stone bridge. It's passed the 2nd ship.

Amazing view. It would be even better if it had not been cloudy. When it is clear, I will take some pictures.

I sort of searched Lake Ilinalta ( large lake west of Riverwood) Basically I found 'safe' landmarks online and then went to them. Of course before I traveled on foot to these landmarks, I made sure I left Shadowmere in a place that I felt was safe, which was in this case The Guardian Stone, which is the stones you go to at the beinging of the game.

I went to Anies' Cabin. Which is across the river north of the stones. A weird grumpy lady lives there by herself and she will attack you if you go into her basement. Which I did not...not a safe place. Didn't want to cause any unnecessary deaths.

So, here's a picture of her cabin, which is falling apart.

I then traveled to The Lady Stone, which is in the middle of Lake Ilinalta on a small island, just north east of Half-Moon Mill.

If you go underwater and south of these stones you will find a shipwreck. You can see a pole sticks out of the water. It has a chest with gold in it ( though I only got 11 gold) and some Nordic Barnacles as well.

I have noticed that every time I save my game and quit, I have to be in a 'safe' place. Which is usually a city/town/settlement/mill, whatever as long as I feel it is safe. When I start the game again I feel less stressed out.

This is one of the reason I will not do long quests, because you never know when I have to stop and quit the game for whatever reason.

Also noticed I get attacked by dragons at Dawnstar more then anywhere else. Anyone have that problem or noticed more dragons in other places?
