You know, that God mode idea might be fun for a few hours or days but then it will get old. The way I play Oblivion and Skyrim, is an immersive roleplay. I have my character eat three times a day, sleep regularly, not pick up every single sword and armor I find etc. There are tons of ideas. You create a story for your character and you play with his/her personality. It's fun, and it's a bit different and I recommend everyone to try it at least once.

Though I don't play Skyrim unless the weather is cold. Right now I am playing Fallout New Vegas!

I think this reflects (as all fantasy books do to some extent) social class structure of middle ages more than race.

I don't think it is reflecting the middle ages. Not really. Maybe using armor and weapons. But I believe they made it to stand on its own. I have read many places about racism in Skyrim, so I am not the only one with this thought. I just wish I could remember where on this website (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Skyrim) I read it. But maybe you are right Matt, maybe it is also social class. It's probably both. I also want to say that there are different races in the game...and some places like Windhelm are openly racist.

"The Dark Elves are confined to a cramped slum below the rest of Windhelm called the Gray Quarter. The elves are not violently persecuted, but the local Nords are suspicious and outwardly xenophobic, and Ulfric Stormcloak turns a blind eye to their plight. Argonians also populate Windhelm, but are prohibited from entering the city itself and are forced to live and work on the docks outside the city walls." - http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Windhelm

And I am debating about a video game...Is that weird? :O_o:

Well, I finally got the game :D I like it, although I'm still getting used to the controls. I tried to talk to someone and accidently attacked them with my sword...my bad, LOL. I'm a Bretton? I think that's what it's called, it starts with a B. Anyway, so far it's a lot of fun. I really enjoyed Oblivion, so I expect I'll like this game also.

Been playing Skyrim today. I wanted to make a female Nord and realised that I haven't done a character who uses a shield in one hand and Destruction magic in the other. The two skills actually work quite well together: bashing with a shield staggers enemies, allowing you to fire off a spell without missing as often. Frost magic damages the target's stamina, making them easier to stagger, plus spells like Ice Spike and Icy Spear make it seem like I am throwing javelins made of ice

Skills: Destruction (with frost perks), Block, Light Armour, Restoration
Stone: Apprentice Stone makes up for the lack of mage robes. The Block perk "Elemental Protection" and Nordic frost resistance help to reduce the drawback.
Dragon Shouts: Ice Form (wicked), Call of Valor, Frost Breath

:x3:

I'm bored with Skyrim now. Well not bored. Maybe more it seems like a daunting task. So much to do, so crappy ability to do it. LOL

Seems to be my running life's theme right now.

I just loaded it up, looked at the main menu screen for a few minutes and thought 'EcK, there's just so much work here'

:(
